Our first No Second Chance presentation for 2016 was at Orange High School (near Bathurst) in NSW in the lead-up to the 2016 Bathurst 12 Hour.
Orange High School proudly boasts an award winning music and band program, a thriving creative arts team with dual specialisations in dance and drama, school, regional and state representative sporting teams and individual opportunities such as triathlons.
The school also offers students extra-curricular activities, cultural and community experiences including, debating and public speaking, chess, Japanese language classes, cultural exchanges and international excursion opportunities.
It was the first time we had been to Orange High School and our visit came about after a recommendation from the Denison College at Bathurst where we have been giving our presentation for the past few years.
We spoke to nearly 300 year 11 and 12s and have had an overwhelming response from the students, teachers and parents.
Belinda Bostock from the local Orange Police was also in attendance and spoke briefly after our presentation to reinforce the messages of Paul Stanley and Matt Speakman.
Here is some of the feedback we have received:
Warren Luff talks to the students at Orange High School in NSW about the importance of setting goals and staying focused.
Matt Speakman talks about the consequences of other peoples stupid mistakes and how planning ahead can prevent tragic accidents.
N2C Ambassador Warren Luff meets with some of the students after the N2C Presentation
Paul Stanley talks with the students after our confronting presentation.
Left to right: (Prefects) Mitch Kelly, Danni Saunders, Callum Petersen, (School Captain) Tom Milson and (PDHPE Teacher) Sarah Cooper
Our next presentation is at Aberfoyle Park High School in Adelaide on 2nd March, just before we Round 1 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Championship.
