Race one of the Porsche Carrera Cup has finally been printed in the history books.
After fluffing the start Luffy made up ground quickly. The race was soon restarted under the pace car after some overly ambitious driving further back in the field resulting in 2 cars being damaged and left blocking the track.
After the restart Warren did well to well to stay out of trouble and finish fourth. This puts the N2C team in a good position going into tomorrows race, starting from the second row on the grid.
“I’m a bit disappointed about muffing the start,” said Luff. “But I’m well aware that on race day there is N2C. We’re in this for the championship so its all about consistency. We will be OK!”
“We’re just glad to get race one out of the way,” said N2C team Principal Andy McElrea. “These guys tend to get a bit ambitious in the first corner of the first race. Luffy’s a good consistent driver so I have no doubts we will have a good weekend.”
