In an amazing twist fate N2C Ambassador Warren Luff returned to his former stomping ground at Airds High School in Campbelltown Sydney to talk about his life and the message of the N2C program to the year 11 and 12 students.
Coming from humble beginnings Luffy has always remained focused on his schoolboy dream of becoming a full-time race driver and standing on the podium at Bathurst. Not only has he stood on the podium at Bathurst (with his team-mate Craig Lowndes) but at race circuits all over the world, most recently at Sydney Motorsport Park for the Porsche Rennsport weekend.
“It was weird to be back” said Warren. “Ironically one of my friends from school now heads up the English department. Neither of us would have believed back then if someone said we would both be helping educate the youth of Australia.
It was a great catch-up and an interesting walk down memory lane and also a serious reminder of how fortunate I have been to have made good decisions (by having good role models) and remain focused on my goals to be where I am today. I just hope that by sharing the experiences of Paul Stanley, Matt Speakman and myself that the year 11 and 12 students we spoke to can see that our lives can be seriously impacted by the choices we make as well as the choices of the people we surround ourselves with.”
We are very grateful to the staff and the students from Airds High School for giving us their time and listening to our stories.
Please be sure to like us on Facebook to keep up-to-date with No Second Chance and be sure to tell everyone you know about the program.
As always remember to Walk Away and Chill Out… because there is No Second Chance.
